Marutama Ramen is a small cosy ramen shop in The Central. Serve only 3 kinds of Ramen my colleague and I order the Spicy Ramen with addition Hanjuku egg at $1 extra. The Ramen was serve with only a slice pork with radish. The soup is spicy for me but is still nice I almost finish the whole bowl of soup so you can imagine how nice it was. My colleague ask me to add some fried garlic which makes the soup taste more tasty and fragrant. The Ramen itself is very Q and nice. I like the Hanjuku egg is a halfboiled egg in soy sauce was good, fragrant and with a lovely soft centre. As for the slice pork is very tender very thinly slice and it seems to melt in your mouth type. Their service is very friendly too they serve you a jug of ice water with nice colourful cup once you are seated.

Cafe Windsor
After watching the show introducing to the porridge buffet I decide to bring my mother in law to try out. The price is $10.80++ for adult and $4.80++ for children. I call them to reserve but they say they don't take any reservation. When we reach there the queue was scary and the manager of the cafe inform us that we may need to wait at least an hour and so we wait. The service there is not good because while we are waiting for our turn one of the waitress simply shout 'any 4 person' and the group right behind us just cut our queue like this. You have to pay at the counter before going in. I didn't manage to take alot of picture cause I too busy taking the food hehe.. The people there is also quite scary in the sense they rush to take food as if the food is not going to be refill.

Hotel Windsor
For variety wise I can say not much like 10 dishes but they do change their menu once in a while. I like their sweet potato porridge and the soya chicken is very tender and nice. They also have prawn not bad is quite fresh. Other than porridge they also have noodle. They also have ice cream just get into the queue and there is a waitress who will scoop for you.
What I dislike is their service is not good at all they are not attentive and slow in clearing the table that why the queue has to wait so long. Not enough plates, cutlery, cup have to wait also. Price is affordable will consider coming back.

The Pizza Place
Colleague suggest to go The Pizza Place at Raffles City for lunch and they told me have to wait pretty long as their pizza is freshly made on the spot. They come in 3 size regular, medium and large I realize their price is slightly expensive compare to Pizza hut. FYI they don't serve ice water here.
Royal King pizza regular size I hope I never get the name wrong. It comes in 4 slice the best I like about this pizza is that the bread is not thick. The chicken meat is not dry unlike some other than I ate. My colleague also recommend their pizza call 'cheese burger' I will try for my next visit.
My colleague order Beef Lasagne I had a bite of it the taste was quite nice too.

No.3 Crab Delicacy
NO.3 Crab Delicacy located at Outram. Is a shophouse along the famous Tiong Bahru Pau. When I reach there a guy come up to me and serve me I told him I am taking away. He is very friendly he will introduce to me what is their specialist there. In the end I order a Black peper crab and LaLa. The guy ask me to take a seat and get a waitress to serve me tea while waiting. Later I realise he is actually the boss.
Their black peper crab is not those that is very dry but it comes with a little sauce. The boss is very thoughtful as I told him only for 2 person he suggest me to take small crab but is not really that small. I find is not spicy enough but the sauce is nice and special unlike other black peper crab I ate.
$38/kg
I like their LaLa thou it looks pretty normal but the sauce is nice and sweet plus a little spicy.
$12 for small serving
You can find them at

I happen to saw this stall selling popiah than I realise it was adver on TV quite some time agao. They have 9 different kind of Popiah inculde the original type. I tried the Prawn popiah it was very nice. Some popiah is very wet but not for this and it was crunchy. I will try other popiah flavor when I go chomp chomp again.

Tampopo at Liang Court
Heard good reviews of Tampopo from other foodblogs so decide to give a tried for dinner. We make a reservation at 7pm when we reach Tampopo it was not crowded yet. Their service is good they smile and greet you and attentive. By 7.30pm the crowd started to come in and soon it was full house. On the menu I saw that they have different grade of the black pig this is the first time I saw it sound so interesting. Here what we order
Cheese Katsu $16 I find the price a little steep for a deep fried pork with cheese but you wouldn't regret ordering it if you are a person who like cheese. Eat it while is hot as it won't taste nice once the cheese is cold. Crispy at the outer and cheesy inside with a touch of tangy lemon and the meat is tender, nice.
Ice Green tea unsweetened this is what my friend order. I find that is very cute as they serve with such a small cup.
Ramen Tonkatsu I shouldn't have order this when I already order the cheese katsu. But of course is different as this katsu does not contain cheese. Is almost the same as the cheese katsu is crispy at the outer and the meat is tender. As for the ramen they cook it just nice not too soft or hard as for the soup it may look hot and spicy but is mild and I find it a little too salty.
Black pig sabu sabu their specialist here and this is what my friend order. He too find that the soup was salty but he like the ramen. The meat was tender but I still wondering what the different between black pig and those normal pig maybe someone can solve my puzzle hehe... I will come again to try other item the total bill come up to $53 for 2/pax.

New York New York
Went over to New York for lunch as it was my colleague birthday. I was craving for pizza but I couldn't finish so I ask my colleague to share with me. This is what we order

Free salad with your DBS or POSB credit card

Coke float with chocolate ice cream

Calamari taste chewy and not very hard unlike some it taste like rubber but now this

Pepperoni pizza that what I order. I am glad it is thin crust as I find bread will be too filling. As for this is crispy at the edge and very cheesy I will try other pizza again

Fish and chip I have tried this before the fish is crispy and soft and it does not have the 'fishy' taste, nice

Meatball spaghetti my colleague let me tried some of the meatball. The meat is soft and goes well with the sauce, can try

I forgotten the name of this dish but I did tried a piece of the sausage hehe... Nothing to comment about but they come with sauce for you to go with

Popeye
If I happen to go airport I will sure drop by to Popeye simply love their fried chicken, cajun fries, mash potatoe and butter biscuits. Now not only Terminal 1 has it but Terminal 3 and Singapore Flyer have Popeye and my girl can watch Popeye cartoon while enjoying her meal. For me I prefer Popeye over KFC.
Order a 2pcs meal and upsize to get a extra side so I get cajun fries. I will prefer thigh part but at Popeye they will charge you 50cents extra for changing the parts. The skin is not oily and very crispy. The wings is nice compare to breast meat which is slightly drier. The biscuits taste very buttery it look like scone to me but it taste much more softer.
I love their mashed very unlike to those normal mashed it has meat and contain some spice in it which make it more tasty than others.

Botak Jones
I love Botak Jones burger and their cajun fries so me and my friend went over to lower delta on the weekend for lunch.

I order a Thai sauce burger even is only a single patty I already find it very filling. The sauce taste sweet and sour as for the beef it was juicy and goes well with the cheese and sauce.

My friend order Cajun Chicken I have try it but I wonder have they cook the chicken well as I don't find it tender as it was. It was quite filling too as my friend couldn't finish it but I can say it taste nice.

Tea House at Raffles City
Went over to Tea House at Raffles City for lunch with my colleague. My colleague recommend their speciality herbal duck they say is very nice must try. There is 5 of us and so we order 1/2 Herbal duck, Mixed Vegetable, Duo Miao, Omelette, Rice and Fried Banana with Red Bean and Mango Sago for desert.

Their menu

The Herbal taste is very mild but I give 2 thumbs up for the Herbal Duck is was juicy and tender. The Mixed Vegetable is very tasty too.

I can say the Omettle is like those grandma type kinda of tradition style as it have chinese sauages and prawn in it. Duo Miao is one of my favourite vegetable as for this it taste just nice but they only have one serving which is kinda of small for 5 people.

Time for desert my colleague order this Mango Sago. The soup is made from cocount very creamy and sweet and the mango is very fresh too.

This is what I order Fried Banana with Red Bean paste. This has attract me when I saw it on the menu. The Banana fritter was very crispy and the Red Bean paste was very smooth and not too sweet which is just nice to me. The sauce beside is to dip with the Banana fritter I still prefer to eat it without the sauce.

Crystal Jade La Mian
Went to Crystal Jade with my friend for lunch. I love their La Mian very nice and somemore it is handmade so I guess this is the reason why it make it so tasty. I order Pork Rib La Mian and my friend order their new dish Fried Beef Noodle. We added 2 side dishes Xiao Long Pao my another favourite and Red Bean Pancake for desert.

La Mian is very 'Q' and the soup is light and nice. I find the Pork Rib meat is just nice not too hard and not to soft.

Xiao long bao, little steamed dumplings filled with pork, hot jus and goodness.

Red bean paste pancake, crispy and sweet.

Siam Kitchen
My friend and I went to try out Siam Kitchen for lunch. I quite like Thai food is hot and spicy especially Tom Yum soup. We order Garlic Fried Kangkong, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Seafood Tom Yum Soup, Green Curry and Chendol for our desert.

They serve us 'Keropok' is name Prawn Cracker call in Malay before our dishes come. I tried dip the cracker into their sweet and spicy chilli it taste quite nice hehe...

Here come our dishes the rice was serve in a big bowl we just take what ever we want and if you need more just ask them to refill. For Kangkong I will always order Sambal type but I try something different for this time round. The vegetable is crunchy and fragant very nice as for the Green curry my friend find it nice but I don't quite like it maybe I find it too thick or maybe I still prefer those chinese red curry

This Sweet and Sour taste good, the sesame has make the chicken more fragant. Is crispy, tender and juicy I like this dish alot. Those who like sweet and sour got to tried this.

This Tom Yum soup is nice but too spicy for me. It is a small serving for one person only luckily I am sharing with my friends if not I won't be able to finish it. There is plenty of ingredient inside like squid, mushroom, fish and meat.

After a spicy battle time to cool off with a icing desert, Chendol. It is a traditional desert originating from Indonesia but is also quite popular in Singapore. This desert consist of shaved ice, coconut milk, starch noodles with green food coloring (usually sourced from the pandan leaf), and palm sugar, Red beans and Grass jelly.

Taman Sentosa @ JB
After lunch we went to shop around and later we went to Taman Sentosa to grab our dinner. Heard alot of good review that the seafood there is cheap and nice.
We order Stingray, Fried baby squid, Sambal kangkong and Cereal Crayfish total only cost us less than $60rm for 2 pax.

Quite a big portion, spicy and nice. Don't forget the chilli is nice too.

I love their Cereal crayfish the fried cereal was fragrant and nice. The meat itself was was juicy and tender. The Fried baby squid was crispy and the Sambal kangkong wasn't that spicy just nice for me.

Cooling off with a Coconut water.

Wong Kok Char Chan Teng @ J.B City Square (Part 1)
Had been to City Square a couple of times but never tried this before so my friend and I decide to tried it for our lunch. We order Sechuan Spicy noodle, Pork Rib noodle, Waffle ice cream which is one of my favourite and Chocolate fondue. For our drinks we got Sour Plum juice and Lemon grass juice I happen to found out that their drinks are serve in jug and different shape of it.

Wow I was suprise that their juice was such a large serving. The waffle is nice and it was different from the waffle I ate in Singapore not only chocolate fudge but it also has peanut butter on it.

A mini chocolate fondue after finishing up the fondue I still don't know if I should pour the milk into the chocolate hehe....

Pork rib noodle the taste was average as what my friend told me.

This noodle isn't spicy but I like the soup is quite nice.
