I will sum up Day 7 & 8

Day 7:
Tosokchon
Gyeongbokgung Palace
Hondae - Hello Kitty Cafe
Namdaemun Market

Day 8:
Prepare to go home
Last minute shop at Lotte Mart

On Day 7 we woke up early to go Tosokchon, the famous place to have their Ginseng Chicken for breakfast lol...

To get there:
5, Jahamun-ro 5-gil, Jongno-gu,near Gyeongbokgung station, Exit 2, reach a cross junction, turn left. Is located at a corner of the street, quite easy to locate.

Link: Gyeongbokgung Palace

Seafood Pancake - every food is just so yummy
Black Chicken Ginseng
White Chicken version
The crowd when we are leaving at 11am
Is worth the trip, their soup is light, tasty and nutritious. They can speak chinese too. After this we head to the Palace which is just across them.

We didn't stay for the ceremony which is held at 1pm. After this we head to the station which is conveniently located at the back of  the Palace to get to Hondae.

Is quite a long walk to Hello Kitty Cafe. Sorry I have no direction for it as I am getting very exhausted after so many days of walking, sick and carrying a toddler I simply follow my hub as he went around to ask how to get there. A nice and pretty cafe for you to relax and take many photos. After this we head back to Namdaemun Market as my friend wants to do a spectacle there. Is cheap, the spect is very flexible too! On the way there we took a cab as I am seriously too tired to walk. We got cheated by the taxi who brought us round and round! Mad Well, dishonest cabby, you can find it everywhere. The fare was 15000 but hub just shoved him with 12000 and we got off, so pissed off!

My friends head back a day earlier than us and all I wanted is an early rest for tonight, packed up and ready to go home tomorrow. I seriously missed home, I never had such a bad holiday which I didn't get to enjoy, sadly.

Anyway my last day, we went to Seoul station for breakfast, went Lotte Mall to grab more goodies to bring home. We booked a taxi from our hotel to send us to airport.

In case you need a taxi, you may consider the. Friendly and huge cabby!

Seoul + Busan 14th March - 21st March - Day 6

Day 6:
Everland
Dongdaemun

Original plan was Everland and Jjimjibang but none of them are interested to go so we head to Dongdaemum instead. Today was easy and simple, only covered 2 areas.

To get to Everland:
We asked hotel reception to help us book the bus shuttle ticket.
Bus ticket alone - 12000 per pax (same price for child)
Bus ticket and Everland ticket - 30000 per pax

Info:
http://www.everland.com/web/multi/english/everland/everland_guide/transportation/Transportation01.html

They have different pick up location, do go to their website to check. And reservation is one day before.

We choose City Hall for the shuttle bus (try to be early to grab a good seats). It will be an hour journey and once you reach Everland, no you are not there yet. You got to take another bus for around 10mins to get to Everland entrance. On the bus, the guide asked if we want to purchase their ticket. Price are lower and you save time queuing.

But please take note: Follow the guide as close as possible!

We paid the guide on the bus but he never wait for us and disappear! Shocked  We were so worried when we couldn't find him and thankfully there is a lady which I assume she is also a Singaporean came up to asked if we also purchase the ticket and told us where he was. Phew!!!

It was Tulips theme when we were there. We loved the Safari ride most! The up closed view of the huge bear was amazing! Their so cute and they even know how to bow! Of cause you will get to see other wild animals, the tigers and lions.

And I am happy that I'm able to take Ski Cable even with my boy inside the carrier and they even use another cable to load my stroller! LOL

The wooden roller coaster

Q to the wooden roller coaster was 2 hours? Crazy!
Parade
I wonder what is this place for
The returned time for the bus was 6pm so we end our day by 5pm in case we miss the bus. The kids definitely enjoy and had lots of fun. We all dozed off on the bus, that how tired we are.

Another noob mistake we made when we arrived at Dongdaemum Culture Station! We are meeting our friends at Dongdaemum station and since they have 2 station so we assumed it is a distance and took the train! End up we found out that it was actually like our Orchard road to Somerset! Knock head

We went to Doota Foodcourt to have our dinner. And we are searching everywhere for a baby chair but we found none! They are just not baby friendly at all! I should have heed my friend suggestion and brought my totseat along.

This is totseat. Image from google.

I saw a groups of mummies sitting behind us, one of them also feed her toddler in the carrier. How pathetic is that! The food there are not cheap. Each set will cost at least SGD$8.

Steamed egg, very nice!

The yucky baby porridge I brought from supermart to let my boy try.

Dongdaemum has nothing much that caught our eye because of their steep price. Another day ended, stay tuned Wink

Korea + Busan trip March 2015!

 Seoul + Busan 14th March - 21st March

Seoul + Busan 14th March - 21st March - Day 5

Day 5:
Pororo Park
Seoul Tower
Hondae - Hello Kitty Cafe
Lotte Mall

Today all the plan was burst! 11 of us but 5 are down, including  me! The worst one got food poisoning and I'm consider the lucky one just having vomiting skype Emoticon puke  So we took a cab to Pororo Park at D-cube city which is much closer to our hotel. And this is the only mall where their foodcourt has baby chair. The most enjoyable is the Pororo show and the train rides I would said.

Opening Hours
  • 10:30 – 20:30
Admission Fee
Adults (ages 13 and up) Individual: 6,000 won
Children (ages 12 months – 13 year) – Individual: 16,000 won

Directions
  • Sindorim Station – Line 1 or Line 2 – direct access from Exit 1

Than we head off to meet my friends to Seoul Tower (feeling weaker) and it was really the worst day of our holiday. It was raining! Cold, wet and carrying a toddler is no  joke! To get to the cable car station you got to 'hike a mountain'!

We alight at Myeongdong station line 4, exit 3 and walked up a long slope for close to 20mins! Or probably majority of us are not that well so we are feeling lethargic. After the slope you got to walked another 10mins to reach the cable car station. And do take note that each cabin they will squeeze up to 30pax. From Seoul Tower you only can get a bus back to the city. And we waited under the tiny shelter bus stop for 25mins and the journey took like 10mins lol....

After Seoul Tower, we called it a day and head back to rest. My hub found a noodle place right in front of the hotel that sells really nice and comfort food. The chef was actually the boss who made the noodles himself.

Seoul + Busan 14th March - 21st March- Day 4

Day 4:
Busan Aquarium
Seomyeon Underground Shopping Center
Head back to Seoul

We took a train to Haeundae-gu (almost an hour) and exit 3 or 5, walk towards Sea Cloud Hotel. At the cross junction, you should see beach in front of you and Busan Aquarium is on your right. Takes about 10mins walk to the aquarium. Thankfully I found this blog who share the direction to get there.

We spent a good one hour plus there. A pity we didn't get to ride the glass bottom boat as I am carry my toddler which they don't allow. You have to do reservation even thou is a weekday.

We had our lunch at their fast food chain because they have high chair for my boy.

Their fried chicken is so juicy, well marinated and delicious!
Guess what is this? Hahaha... is actually paper spoon for the corn salad
Next we move on to Seomyeon Underground Shopping Center (exit 1 of Seomyeon Station, Metro line 1) to meet our friends there. It is a long stretch of little shops but I find that majority of the shop the stuff they sells are pretty similar, I didn't get anything Disturbed

Back to Tower Hill and collected our luggage for our 5.30pm train. We arrived Seoul at around 8.15pm and I was thinking to buy dinner back to hotel but my friends wanted to tried Yoogane in Myeongdong. There is 2 outlets, the one we went was further down (2 junction away from the station) but the waiter at the restaurant turned us away when seeing a huge group of us with our luggage. So rude!!! Thumb down

So in the end, we split. They continue their hunt but we just hopped into a restaurant located at level 4 when seeing they served porridge. Thought my boy could have he chicken porridge($10SGD) but is was a little spicy so he didn't take much. Thou the food here is slightly more expensive but I'm happy that they have baby chair here.
