Thai Corner (Thomson)

Was craving for some spicy and sour soup so I went to google to search for somewhere near for dinner. Saw review on http://www.hungrygowhere.com/singapore/e_sarn_thai_corner_upper_thomson/ which was not bad so we went to give a tried.

Is really located at a corner facing a bank if I am not wrong and is opposite the famous prata place. It wasn't crowded during dinner, staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered their Sambal fried rice, tom yum soup which they have 2 types so I chosen the 'clear' one and deep fried pork strip.

Fried Pork Strip with the basil leaves has help add somemore fragrant to the dish, meat was tender and goes well with the spicy and sour garlic sauce but I find it a little too dry.

Sambal Fried Rice, I had a very nice one before at AMK S-11 coffeshop but the stall has closed already. As for this, it is real hot and spicy that cause my stomach to burn and a suddenly running nose! Sorry I am not a chili padi person and the level of spicyness in this fried rice was too much for me. Thou is was very nice but I can't enjoy it.

Tom Yum Clear Soup, luckily this is not so spicy like the fried rice, is light with a touch of sour and not so spicy and the seafood was fresh, nice!

Total bill close to $50 with 2 drinks which I feel is a little overpriced, for me I doubt I will come back again.
