Momiji Revenue House

It was my birthday and I was craving for snow crabs! Saw quite a few good reviews and decided to give a try.

Made my reservation at 6pm so hub can get to enjoy the free flow of sapporo beer which starts from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. Remember to give your empty bottle in exchange for a new one! The place was spacious, not crowded on a tuesday night. Variety was not too bad, quite a good spread. From Seafood, desserts to cooked food but it was a huge disappointment after the dinner! And don't hope for any service!

After you got your seats, they will lay a clean plastic table mat for you to enjoy their current promotion,  'Seafood in a bag'! Yes, no more Icy Snow Crab! Sad And the most horrible thing is they are out of ICE that day! Imagine your Fanta without ice Smack head

What good?
- I only enjoy the seafood in the bag, is free flow! There is mussles, cooked snow crabs, scallops and prawns but seems like the crayfish is missing!

- Self made waffle, it was fun!
- Chawanmushi
- Paper hotpot
- The cold & sweet succulent prawn

What so bad?
- Fried stuff was cold and hard!
- Prawn paste chicken wings was so SALTY! When I first got the cold wings, it was red and uncooked! But the staff could still argue with me that it is FULLY COOKED!
- Sashimi was thin and doesn't look fresh to me
- Tempura was cold and batter was so thick!

Please enjoy the rest of the picture!

This is what you will get in your Seafood in a bag!

My overall experience: I don't feel the worth of return for the quality of food. I guess people came here for the seafood promotion as well as the free flow of beer.

Gold Coast September School Holiday 2014! Part 3

Day 3!

Went Currumbin Zoo, is about 30mins drive from our apartment. Zoo is not huge, is not very crowded (thankfully) and you can take picture with the Kola but of course you will have to pay. We took the train rides and watch the sheep show. The Kangaroo is huge and relax and isn't afraid of the humans unlike S'pore which is all protected! Hahaha...

And than we hopped opposite to the Honey World, nothing much unless you paid for a tour. Manuka honey is the same price as S'pore. I got myself a small floral honey which taste good! We went to Oasia to walked but due to Sunday, most shop are either closed early or not opened and the mall is pretty small and we ended up in the supermarket again LOL

Is was my bestie birthday so I reserved Hanazono which is a teppanyaki restaurant. Food is pretty nice but a little too salty. We had a nice dinner, service was good and fun, the chef is friendly and joker. I requested for the 'salt art' for the birthday girl! We paid about $150 for our dinner and we went to walked around to 'digest'! We found this souvenir shop which sells nougat which is so hard to find in Gold Coast but after purchased and back to S'pore, I realized it was much cheaper than Aussie Smack head

Today itinerary:
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Super Bee Honey World
Oasia Shopping Mall (waste of time)

Kuishin Bo (Suntec City Mall) on V-day

It was a overdue post, sorry about it. Went to Kuishin Bo at Suntec for dinner on V-day with my hubby and my girl. Luckily I made a reservation to save us from the 'dragon' queue lol

It was our first time here and they are having a promotion on Thursday where the child below 1.3m dines free with every 2 paying adults. I was thinking what if a 6 years old kid is taller but given the age it shouldn't be paying adult price at all so I find that the restaurant which having this kind of 'height' restriction promotion doesn't make any sense at all.

It was crowded with couples especially due to Valentine's Day. I went to grab the nearest food which is close to our table, paper hot pot. The 'alley' is very cramp, I saw someone knocking against another person and spill the sauce. Oh ya, by the way don't expect good service here because when I told the staff about the hot water machine was out of order she asked me to wait and push to another staff and in total I got to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to do something about it. The good thing of the buffet here is they have free flow of drinks. You may find some small clips on your table that is to use for ordering the teppanyaki food.
Paper Hot Pot

My pick :)

Sushi Corner

Their replenish are very slow as well

I had to asked the staff to top up the sashimi!

Dessert Corner

I believe this is the main reason people why visit Kuishin Bo. My hub love it, is fresh and sweet even my girl like it!

Every diners will get this complimentary lobsters! My hub said is too chessy for his liking, I find okay thou 3D Emoticons

My girl is a fan of Ebi (prawn) and Ungai (sweet fish) sushi and I love the fresh and succulent prawn!

Sorry for the unpresentable picture lols... Other than sashimi, dessert, seafood they also have fried items, cooked food and also teppanyaki. Forget about their Chicken Wings, is suck!

I saw people taking this interesting plate for their dessert, so 'monkey see, monkey do' I went to grab one as well. Waffle is hard like a stone, the rest was better. My girl went for their chocolate fondue and ice cream.

Overall I find the food here is pretty acceptable, no harm for a 2nd visit. Total damage for each adults was $50 Animated Emoticons
