Todai @ MBS

Went Todai to celebrate my boy 1st birthday and my birthday together since we are both Dec babies. Called up to make a reservation for a dinner on Monday evening and also request for a small cake from them.

We reach at around 6.30pm and it wasn't very crowded yet. The restaurant is very spacious and while walking to our seats, I am starving already by seeing all the delicious food around me. I am pretty surprise that they have so many varieties on a weekday dinner. There is Oyster, Snow Crabs, Chilli Crabs, lots of seafood. Really 'Mother of Seafood' lols.....

Hardly buffets comes with free flows of drinks but they have it here. The interesting thing is their miso soup which is in the dispenser (pardon for been a noob haha). Their cooked food has alot of varieties too. Service are not very efficient, they do help to clear our plates but quite slow in it.

Dessert corners are more on mini cakes, chocolate fondant and crackers, nothing caught my eyes. Oh ya, their Roast Pork or whatever they called, REALLY CANNOT MAKE IT! I felt like I'm eating some ROCK!!!

I love their:
Snow crabs, is so fresh (not the steamed, cooked ones)
Oyster (not very big & juicy thou)
Fresh Sashimi
Sweet Prawns
Korean - Rice cakes
Smoked salmon
Fried Tempura
Miso soup

Total bill per pax: $58 for adults, child should be 50% off adult price.
UOB got 10% discount, is worth it especially on a weekdays with so much choices. Will definitely drop by again :lick:

Kim's Kitchen Tingkat

There is craze over tingkat lunch in my office and I decided to join in with 5 of my colleagues and tried out Kim's Kitchen. Went to do some research  but is was not very good on their review. But I still went ahead and ordered it.

After calculation, it wasn't that cheap but convenient that I do not have to go out or standing at the canteen and don't know what to eat! Anyway is just a 5 days trial, I'm glad the dishes was quite good afterall. They deliver at 11.30am daily, 1st day was caught up as they sent the wrong portion to us. But is was good after that. It comes with plastic container just in case you need to warm up. Somehow remains me of my confinement tingkat lol!!

1st Day menu:
Satay Chicken - Not much of the satay flavor and we actually find it abit weird lol
Tofu with sauce - The sauce is good to go with the rice
Veg - Normal
Winter melon soup - Nice! Not too salty or taste alot of msg!

Day 2 menu:
Fried fish with spring onion - Nice!
Sambal egg - Not those malay style that we are expecting, is like sweet & sour sauce with fried egg.
Veg - Normal
Soup - I forgotten lol

Day 3 menu:
Pork cutlet in sweet & sour sauce - The meat is so hard that you can throw on the floor! lol
Braised Tau Khee - Nice!
Brinjai - All along I never like this dish, hahaha
Pig stomach soup - Nice! (No stinky porky smell)

Day 4 menu:
Fried fish in curry sauce - Nice
Veg - Normal
Fried egg
Soup - I never drink so I'm not sure what is it :P

Day 5 menu:
Fried chicken wings with sauce - Is not hard but tender and goes well with the sauce! Nice!
Fish cake - Taste like those Thai fish cake.
Veg - Normal
Soup - Herbal soup

Overall, I find it not bad but I am not a tingkat person who don't mind having it for a month.

Gold Coast September School Holiday 2014! Part 5

Part 5:

Movie World
Duck Tour
Cavill Avenue

So on day 5 we went Movie World, I feel like a kid again! It was nice and probably due to their early closing hour we actually spend the whole day there. If you been to HK Disney land their parade in Movie World can be quite disappointing. If you are lucky you get free ice cream during the parade. I hardly took any picture with the character, reason begin due to the long Q and the limit to the number of pax for photo taking. I love the Batman! He look so cool (under the mask LOL) and his car! I tried the Green Lantern ride, is was good and of course scary la haha....

Than we rush off to Aqua Duck Tour, we are late and the driver was pulling a long face! But I accept  his reason, is because by the time we got to the water it will be dark and the kids might not get a chance to 'drive' but luckily the kids still gets to tried it. It was an hour tour and we went to search for dinner after this.

Dinner wasn't good but all of us are craving for soupy stuff, so we just pop in to a random shop. Food wasn't great and our bill came up to $150AUD! Everything is just so expensive here! I went to grab Ben & Jerry for myself and head back to apartment to pack up. Time fly! Holiday come slow but end fast! We are saying goodbye to the nice and relaxing Aussie Blow nose We will be back again! Hahaha...

Next trip Korea! After watching Running Man, I madly fall in love with AnneHaSaeYo!! Can't wait to go, shall go do my research!
