Choo Choo Chicken
My girlfriend asked us to tried their fried chicken and indeed I find them nicer than 4 fingers!
They are located at Haji lane, right opposite Raffles Hospital. The restaurant is very small and limited seating. Their menu are mainly fried chicken and a few sides that all. We ordered 24 pieces of Soy, 8 pieces of Original and 16 pieces of Spicy, CC burger, rice cake and 7 drinks.

Rice cake - Chewy and not too bad
Soy - Crispy, tender, not so salty, very nice!
Spicy - This is nice too, I will say is like level 3 buffalo wings but is crispy. I can't really take spicy so the rest of my friends were enjoying it than me, lol
Original - Quite blend thou crispy, nah
CC Burger - I miss this! Is a great combination! Kimichi, tuna, rice. You also can DIY yourself at home lol
Total is about $20 per pax, hub was commenting that it was expensive just to eat fried chicken. Well, I feel worth it :)

Rose Veranda High Tea
Went for high tea at Rose Veranda, probably expecting too much and got disappointed. Variety isn't much, price steep, only good services that all.
I only enjoy their dessert corner and cheese platter, nothing else attract me. I guess people are here for TWG free flow tea.
$45 per pax? Nah, once and never again.

Landing Point High Tea - Fullerton Bay Hotel
Landing Point is located at the old pier next to Esplanade. I still remember taking ferry from this place to Kusu island when I was small. Never knew it has change to a hotel now. Was here with some mummies for high tea on a weekday afternoon.
Nice cosy place with great view to laze around for a nice high tea. Pretty pricey but worth the experience. Their high tea comes with 3 tier which is refillable. Many variety of TWG tea for you to choose from. Though their food are bite sized but I must said it is quite filling too. Afternoon tea is from 3pm - 5.30pm.

Natal Essentials Confinement Food
Preggy make me lazy and motherhood make me too busy to blog 
Manage to get rid my lazy bug and share my confinement tingkat I ordered from Natal Essentials. I decided to go with them since their more popular. I ordered 28 days lunch, some days the portion are enough to save for my dinner but definitely not the soup and the longan tea. You will need a lot and a lot and a lot of water if you are breastfeeding.
Delivery was always around 10 to 11am in the morning and food was still hot when it came. At first the food was very tasty but soon I get bored of it. Imagine having rice every single day and repeated food after a week. Unless you are taking both lunch and dinner I guess the variety won't be so bored.
The picture I attach was vinegar pork trotter which was my favourite but it was very average. I still prefer the famous one in lavender and I even asked my hub to go get it for me. Is kind of disappointing especially they are specialist in catering for confinement food. I had more bones than meat. Fish wise is fresh and take note that their soup even fish soup has herbal in it. Some of their dishes are not bad, portion is good and if you have dishes that you don't like or you can't take their willing to help on it. I told them no alcohol as I am allergy to it so no wine chicken that I can comment on.

Uncle Tom's Tavern @ JB
One of my favourite JB makan blog and let me found a cheap and delicious western food in JB. After our groceries shopping at Plentong Giant we decide to hop by this place for dinner. Is it next to Tesco Extra Plentong located at those shophouses.
Do note that they are closed on Sunday! We reached around 7pm and still manage to get a table, service was superb and food was good too. We ordered Calamari, Chicken Burger, Black Pepper Chicken Chop and Cajun Salmon with drinks. I have stated the price below, worth it or is it cheap is up to you to judge. A happy meal = A happy customer

Ssikkek Korean BBQ @ United Square
It was previously located at Novena Ville but after that place was demolished, Ssikkek has moved to United Square and of course with a price increase.
It is now located at the basement of United Square, next to a pub. Area was bigger comparing to the previous one and the variety seems to improve too. But something that will never change is that you will still stink after you step out
We did not made any reservation because from my past experience they never bother even I told them I had called up but not so sure if they have improve on this. We reach at 6pm, restaurant was not packed yet and we manage to get a table without waiting. The staff was very nice, they came and told us to grab the meat fast before the 8pm crowd comes it. To my horror, the queue was sreally long when time comes. I think at least a 20 min wait and although they replenish fast the meat was still frozen. I should have took a picture of the 'dragon' queue lolz
I love their cooked food, the chewy rice cake which is not very spicy, my friend love their soup and they even have fried chicken wings which run out fast. Though the wings is crispy but very bland and best of all, the drinks are free flow and there is a individual salad table. Their mango smoothie is very nice, their pork collar, belly and bacon is my favourite. Sadly, they don't have korean pancake here.
Total damage for each pax on friday dinner was $28.60, definitely worth the return and I am sure I will be back again.
