Gim Tim @ AMK

My boss treat us for lunch at Gim Tim for 'Lo Hei'. My boss has chosen this day as it is the 7th day of the Chinese New Year season, which the Chinese celebrate as everyone birthday. It's a kind of tradition to toss the salad while calling out Lo Hei!, which means to whip up or toss up good fortune. It's believed that the higher you toss the salad, the greater your luck and prosperity in the New Year!

Our first dish is definitely the 'Yu Sheng', Yu Sheng is made with fresh fish such as salmon, peanuts (which symbolize longevity), raw vegetables such as Daikon radish and carrots, and a plum sauce dressing. In total there is 8 dishes including Shark Fin, Abalone, Scallop with Brocolli, Fish, Crispy Chicken with Spicy flakes and dessert. Dessert was the Hot White Fungus with Chinese Almond, the taste is kinda of weird so I never ate it.
