Marutama Ramen

Marutama Ramen is a small cosy ramen shop in The Central. Serve only 3 kinds of Ramen my colleague and I order the Spicy Ramen with addition Hanjuku egg at $1 extra. The Ramen was serve with only a slice pork with radish. The soup is spicy for me but is still nice I almost finish the whole bowl of soup so you can imagine how nice it was. My colleague ask me to add some fried garlic which makes the soup taste more tasty and fragrant. The Ramen itself is very Q and nice. I like the Hanjuku egg is a halfboiled egg in soy sauce was good, fragrant and with a lovely soft centre. As for the slice pork is very tender very thinly slice and it seems to melt in your mouth type. Their service is very friendly too they serve you a jug of ice water with nice colourful cup once you are seated.

Cafe Windsor

After watching the show introducing to the porridge buffet I decide to bring my mother in law to try out. The price is $10.80++ for adult and $4.80++ for children. I call them to reserve but they say they don't take any reservation. When we reach there the queue was scary and the manager of the cafe inform us that we may need to wait at least an hour and so we wait. The service there is not good because while we are waiting for our turn one of the waitress simply shout 'any 4 person' and the group right behind us just cut our queue like this. You have to pay at the counter before going in. I didn't manage to take alot of picture cause I too busy taking the food hehe.. The people there is also quite scary in the sense they rush to take food as if the food is not going to be refill.

For variety wise I can say not much like 10 dishes but they do change their menu once in a while. I like their sweet potato porridge and the soya chicken is very tender and nice. They also have prawn not bad is quite fresh. Other than porridge they also have noodle. They also have ice cream just get into the queue and there is a waitress who will scoop for you.

What I dislike is their service is not good at all they are not attentive and slow in clearing the table that why the queue has to wait so long. Not enough plates, cutlery, cup have to wait also. Price is affordable will consider coming back.

The Pizza Place

Colleague suggest to go The Pizza Place at Raffles City for lunch and they told me have to wait pretty long as their pizza is freshly made on the spot. They come in 3 size regular, medium and large I realize their price is slightly expensive compare to Pizza hut. FYI they don't serve ice water here.

Royal King pizza regular size I hope I never get the name wrong. It comes in 4 slice the best I like about this pizza is that the bread is not thick. The chicken meat is not dry unlike some other than I ate. My colleague also recommend their pizza call 'cheese burger' I will try for my next visit.

My colleague order Beef Lasagne I had a bite of it the taste was quite nice too.

No.3 Crab Delicacy

NO.3 Crab Delicacy located at Outram. Is a shophouse along the famous Tiong Bahru Pau. When I reach there a guy come up to me and serve me I told him I am taking away. He is very friendly he will introduce to me what is their specialist there. In the end I order a Black peper crab and LaLa. The guy ask me to take a seat and get a waitress to serve me tea while waiting. Later I realise he is actually the boss.

Their black peper crab is not those that is very dry but it comes with a little sauce. The boss is very thoughtful as I told him only for 2 person he suggest me to take small crab but is not really that small. I find is not spicy enough but the sauce is nice and special unlike other black peper crab I ate.
$38/kg

I like their LaLa thou it looks pretty normal but the sauce is nice and sweet plus a little spicy.
$12 for small serving

I guess alot people will drop by chomp chomp for dinner or supper and as usual most of them will order BBQ Stingray etc... But this time round I tried something different. I happen to saw this stall selling popiah than I realise it was adver on TV quite some time agao. They have 9 different kind of Popiah inculde the original type. I tried the Prawn popiah it was very nice. Some popiah is very wet but not for this and it was crunchy. I will try other popiah flavor when I go chomp chomp again.

Tampopo at Liang Court

Heard good reviews of Tampopo from other foodblogs so decide to give a tried for dinner. We make a reservation at 7pm when we reach Tampopo it was not crowded yet. Their service is good they smile and greet you and attentive. By 7.30pm the crowd started to come in and soon it was full house. On the menu I saw that they have different grade of the black pig this is the first time I saw it sound so interesting. Here what we order

Cheese Katsu $16 I find the price a little steep for a deep fried pork with cheese but you wouldn't regret ordering it if you are a person who like cheese. Eat it while is hot as it won't taste nice once the cheese is cold. Crispy at the outer and cheesy inside with a touch of tangy lemon and the meat is tender, nice.

Ice Green tea unsweetened this is what my friend order. I find that is very cute as they serve with such a small cup.

Ramen Tonkatsu I shouldn't have order this when I already order the cheese katsu. But of course is different as this katsu does not contain cheese. Is almost the same as the cheese katsu is crispy at the outer and the meat is tender. As for the ramen they cook it just nice not too soft or hard as for the soup it may look hot and spicy but is mild and I find it a little too salty.

Black pig sabu sabu their specialist here and this is what my friend order. He too find that the soup was salty but he like the ramen. The meat was tender but I still wondering what the different between black pig and those normal pig maybe someone can solve my puzzle hehe... I will come again to try other item the total bill come up to $53 for 2/pax.
